Who we are

Cheshire Networking is operated by Wingenious Ltd, the data controller for this site. The website is located at cheshirenetworking.co.uk.

Our independence

Cheshire Networking is a completely independent directory. We are not owned by, affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of the networking groups, event organisers, venues, chambers of commerce, councils or ticketing platforms listed on this site, and we have no commercial relationship with them unless clearly marked as sponsorship or advertising.

We list events because we believe they are useful to business owners in Cheshire, not because an organiser has paid or asked us to. Organisers cannot pay to be included or to rank higher. Where a listing is sponsored or advertised, it is labelled as such.

Event details are gathered from organisers' own public websites and ticketing pages and are checked before publication, but we are not responsible for the events themselves. Bookings, payments and attendance are between you and the organiser. If you book through a link on this site, your data is handled by the organiser or ticketing platform under their own privacy policy, not ours.

What data we collect

If you subscribe to our email updates, we collect:

  • Your email address
  • Your chosen update frequency (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly)

If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, organisation and message you give us so that we can reply.

We do not collect any other personal data. We do not use tracking cookies. We do not use analytics tools that identify individual users.

How we use your data

Your email address is used solely to send you networking event updates at your chosen frequency. We will never use your email for any other purpose.

Data storage

Subscriber and contact form data is stored securely in our own database and with our email service provider (Mailgun, EU region) for the sole purpose of sending you event updates and replying to your messages.

Data sharing

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Because we are independent of every organiser listed here, your email address is never passed to event organisers, venues or any other organisation.
